As an architect with more than 20 years in practice, Bob Harris has dedicated his career to defining a better balance between the natural and manmade worlds. He’s a partner at Lake/Flato Architects in San Antonio, a Fellow in the American Institute of Architects (AIA) with a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he focused his graduate work on the subject of Aesthetics and Sustainability.
Bob leads Lake | Flato’s sustainability practice. His work has been recognized by the AIA with four national sustainable design awards, one national honor award, and more than a dozen local and state and local design awards. He served four years as a director on the national board of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and was a founding director of the Central Texas-Balcones Chapter. Bob is in demand as a speaker on topics of architecture and sustainability.
Bob Harris, FAIA LEED AP has established expertise in combining award-winning design and sustainable practices in buildings that respect nature, enhance place, and exhibit the craft of construction. He has more than 20 years of project experience with a focus on environmental issues, ranging from land preservation advocacy to sustainable urban design.
