Request an Invitation to Attend
The TEDxSanAntonio Attendee Invitation Request is not a typical conference registration form. We’re looking for people who are likely, in our judgment, to be a strong contributor to the TEDx community and/or the ideas discussed at TEDx — projects that come out of the conference.
The cost for this year’s event has not yet been determined but in previous years it has been about $50. You will not be asked to pay until you have been selected and made aware of this year’s fee. If you feel that you need a scholarship to attend, please indicate that on the invitation request.
Before you complete the Invitation Request,
here are a few things to know:
- Attendee participation is vital to the success of the event, so we take your invitation request seriously. We’ve made the form easier for those of you who have attended before. Please take the time to answer the questions thoughtfully, with enough detail to help us understand who you are.
- We recommend you look at the form first, and compose your answers offline in your Word processor or email. Paste your answers in the form, then keep your offline copy, in case of a broken connection or other error. TEDxSanAntonio cannot be responsible for text that gets lost.
What happens after I request my invitation?
Our event experience committee will review all requests and begin issuing invitations in late August on a space available basis. If you receive an invitation, you need to purchase your ticket within 10 days to secure your seat. If you don’t purchase your ticket within 10 days, we will release your seat to someone on the waiting list, and add you to the waiting list.
What if I can’t attend?
The TEDxSanAntonio talks will be broadcast via web through a live stream and captured on video. If you’re interested in organizing a TEDxSanAntonio satellite party, that’s great! Please let us and the community know by commenting below. The TEDxSanAntonio communities on Twitter and Facebook are great places to announce your watching party as well.
