On Saturday, November 15, 92 people, the majority high school students, came together at the first-ever TEDxYouth@SanAntonio event. Arts education nonprofit SAYSÍ hosted, and students from that organization, as well as the San Antonio Youth Commission (SAYC), welcomed participants.
Activities at the event included:
- Watching the TEDYouth 2014: Worlds Imagined livestream.
- Breakout session #1, led by San Antonio Youth Commission students, to watch and discuss Jullien Gorden: How to Graduate College with a Job You Love and Less Debt.
- Breakout session #2, led by SAYSÍ students, to watch and discuss Jarrett Krosoczka: How a Boy Became an Artist.
- Contributing ideas to the literal “Brainstorm”.
And most importantly, TEDxYouth met, mingled and networked with one another.
